O CABELO NATURAL COMO UMA FERRAMENTA DE EMPODERAMENTO FEMININO: uma análise do filme Felicidade Por Um Fio

Abstract

Still in the 21st century, we are embedded in a standardized society, where stereotypes are common and individuals need to fit in with them. In this scenario, one of the concepts that ratify this idea and revolve around women, especially black, is the denial of one's own hair when using chemicals. The objective of this research is to do a discourse analysis of the recently released film, "Nappily Ever After" and, as throughout the story told, it can help women who still need to be empowered and like hair, also through hair transition , it is one of the tools for this process. The study has shown that the pursuit of perfection can have bad consequences and that assuming its identity is not only an aesthetic question, but it is something internal and liberating. With this, it is increasingly necessary to address this type of subject to promote reflection and behavior changes for a more human society without prejudice.
