dc.description.abstractThis monograph explored the mothers' knowledge about the evolution of their children within the Ministry of Health's Child Growth and Development Program, which aims to promote health and the identification of diseases, risk situations, and act at an early stage. This present study was justified by the need for society to have knowledge regarding this care performed by the nurse, and can contribute effectively to the prevention of diseases through health education and humanization of care. The objective was to identify the maternal knowledge about the program and its basic guidelines, the nurses' orientations and the culture involved in the care, a qualitative research was developed in the basic health units of Três Pontas. Nine mothers of children younger than 5 years who participated in the inclusion criteria participated, data were collected through interviews. The majority of mothers are familiar with the Child Growth and Development program and its basic foundations, which, due to their historical context, have been present since 1986. The results of this monograph demonstrated that in relation to the nurses' orientations, there were two aspects, the minority declared no to be oriented, the mothers who are oriented said they clearly understood the language used. The majority of mothers know and use some alternative treatment, evidencing the importance of the knowledge interaction of mothers and health professionals, who should be well informed. It is hoped that this study will help nurses to reevaluate, update and improve their care of the Child Growth and Development Program, effectively contributing to the prevention of diseases through health education and humanization of care.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEsta monografia abordou o conhecimento das mães sobre a evolução dos seus filhos dentro do Programa de Crescimento e Desenvolvimento Infantil do Ministério da Saúde que visa à promoção da saúde e a identificação de agravos, situações de risco, atuando de forma precoce. Este presente estudo justificou-se pela necessidade de que a sociedade apresenta de ter conhecimento em relação a esse atendimento realizado pelo enfermeiro, e possa contribuir de forma efetiva para a prevenção de agravos através da educação em saúde e humanização do atendimento. Objetivou identificar o conhecimento materno sobre o programa e suas diretrizes básicas, orientações realizadas pelo enfermeiro e a cultura envolvida no cuidado, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa qualitativa nas unidades básicas de saúde de Três Pontas. Participaram nove mães de crianças menores de 5 anos que se enquadraram nos critérios de inclusão, os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevistas. A maioria das mães conhece o programa de Crescimento e Desenvolvimento Infantil e seus alicerces básicos, que devido ao seu contexto histórico está presente desde 1986. Os resultados dessa monografia demonstraram que em relação às orientações realizadas pelo enfermeiro, houve duas vertentes, a minoria declarou não ser orientada, já às mães que são orientadas afirmaram compreender claramente a linguagem utilizada. A maioria das mães conhece e utiliza algum tratamento alternativo, evidenciando a importância da interação do conhecimento das mães e dos profissionais de saúde devendo estes estar bem informados. Espera-se que este estudo ajude os enfermeiros a se reavaliarem, atualizarem e melhorarem o seu atendimento do Programa de Crescimento e Desenvolvimento Infantil, contribuindo de forma efetiva para a prevenção de agravos através da educação em saúde e humanização do atendimento.pt_BR
