dc.description.abstractThis study addresses the importance of the work developed in the Central of Sterilized Material (CME), justifying the importance of the recognition of the professional nurse in CME. The objective of this study is to analyze the nurse's knowledge regarding the activities carried out within the Sterilized Material Center, being the nurse trained to lead and lead her team with quality, presenting the standard operating procedures - POPs of the sector to their existing employees on the day within the Central of Sterilized Material, offering better service quality. It is a qualitative, described and transversal research carried out through the content analysis of Bardin, which consists of the interpretation, organization and systematization of textual content obtained through interviews, through an interview script applied to nurses in a care unit to the patients of a general hospital of the South of Minas Gerais, the audio of the interviews were recorded and transcribed for an analysis. The study was attended by 08 nurses who fit the inclusion criteria of the research. The results indicate that nursing recognizes the value of work in CME, but it does not know the whole routine and not all processes like the specialist nurse in CME. Furthermore, it was not possible to verify their interest in working in a closed sector. At the end, the importance of permanent education in the training of the nursing team and the commitment and strategies that make possible the importance of the nurse professional in the CME are emphasized.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoEste estudo aborda a importância do trabalho desenvolvido na Central de Material Esterilizado (CME), justificando-se pela importância do reconhecimento do profissional enfermeiro em CME. Tem como objetivo analisar o conhecimento do enfermeiro frente as atividades realizadas dentro da Central de Material Esterilizado, sendo o enfermeiro capacitado para treinar e liderar sua equipe com qualidade, apresentando os procedimentos operacional padrão – POP´s do setor aos seus colaboradores existentes no dia a dia dentro da Central de Material Esterilizado, oferecendo melhor qualidade no atendimento. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, descrita e transversal realizado através da análise de conteúdo de Bardin que consiste na interpretação, organização e sistematização de conteúdo textuais obtidos através das entrevistas, por meio de um roteiro de entrevista aplicado aos enfermeiros em uma unidade de atendimentos aos pacientes de um hospital geral do Sul de Minas Gerais, o áudio das entrevistas foram gravados e transcritos para uma análise. Participaram do estudo 08 enfermeiros que enquadraram nos critérios de inclusão da pesquisa. Os resultados apontam que a enfermagem reconhece o valor do trabalho na CME, porem não conhece toda a rotina e nem todos os processos como o enfermeiro especialista em CME. Além disso não foi possível verificar interesse da parte deles em trabalhar em um setor fechado. Ao final, se ressalta a importância da atuação da educação permanente no treinamento da equipe de enfermagem e o comprometimento e estrategias que possibilitem a importância do profissional enfermeiro na CME.pt_BR
