Abstract: This work's main objective is to develop an improvement in a plastic injection mold for&#xD;
automotive seal parts. This improvement was necessary due to a fault blocked by the parts&#xD;
assembler. The failure addressed was a leak of plastic injection material in a visible area of&#xD;
the part, or that was improved in an unpleasant aspect of the vehicle and that deviated from the&#xD;
standards defined by the manufacturer. The fact occurred within the assembly line of the&#xD;
assembly plant, which caused the vehicle assembly line to stop for 4 minutes and consequently&#xD;
the assembly of the assembly plant required a parts manufacturer to bear the expenses of the&#xD;
line stoppage and in addition to carrying out an assembly of the pieces 34 pieces that seemed&#xD;
to be the fault. Therefore, it was necessary to act quickly and objectively to correct the failure&#xD;
evidenced by the assembly. For this to be possible, some quality tools will be used in the studies&#xD;
to assist in understanding the failure and its causes and to assist in the management of solutions&#xD;
proposed by the multifunctional team.

Abstract: This work aims to increase productivity and improve the use of labor in the polymer&#xD;
injection process, specifically in the production of sealing parts for the automotive sector. The&#xD;
research was conducted in an automotive company, where high productivity is essential to meet&#xD;
the demands of car manufacturers. The study focuses on the technical analysis of the&#xD;
parameters of the EPDM injection process in the injection molding machines, as well as&#xD;
mapping the layout flow and the execution of manual tasks by the operators. By identifying&#xD;
opportunities for improvement in the settings of process parameters and in the operations&#xD;
carried out by the workers, the work aims to increase production capacity, reduce cycle times&#xD;
and, consequently, improve the company's profits. The implementation of these technical and&#xD;
operational improvements aims to optimize the use of human resources and guarantee the best&#xD;
return on the investments made in the project. The study also highlights the importance of&#xD;
testing and analysis for productive growth and efficiency in the production process.

Abstract: This work deals with the implementation and testing of a device designed to improve&#xD;
the control of the efficiency of the cooling system of molds used in casting, in an aluminum&#xD;
wheel manufacturing company, during setup. The main objectives were to reduce delays in&#xD;
setup related to problems in the cooling circuits and improve the effectiveness of these circuits&#xD;
in production, factors that negatively impacted productivity.&#xD;
In order to achieve the main objectives, pertinent bibliographic reviews, analyses of the&#xD;
processes related to the company's casting sector, development and testing of the device were&#xD;
carried out. The device was tested in June 2024, and through this test it was possible to collect&#xD;
data to prove the feasibility of the improvement.&#xD;
The data indicated a total elimination of delays in setup related to the cooling system,&#xD;
previously responsible for production loss. In addition, the introduction of the device allowed&#xD;
for more precise control of the mold temperature, resulting in improved thermal efficiency and&#xD;
greater uniformity in casting. There was also a significant reduction in part defects and an&#xD;
increase in the useful life of the molds, thanks to targeted preventive maintenance based on&#xD;
monitoring of the circuits.&#xD;
The positive results point to the viability of expanding the use of the device to other&#xD;
areas of the production process, promoting additional gains in efficiency and quality in the&#xD;
production of aluminum wheels.

Abstract: This work addresses the implementation of a quality management system in the&#xD;
production line of an electromechanical assembly company. With the use of quality tools, we&#xD;
seek to reduce rework, waste of materials and assembly time, in addition to improving stock&#xD;
control. The standardization of layouts made it possible to reduce assembly time by 30% and&#xD;
material consumption by 14%. The organization of the stock of previously cut channels and&#xD;
rails, now controlled by Excel spreadsheets, and the future implementation of specific&#xD;
software will facilitate material control. Reducing rework and improving process consistency&#xD;
reduced product production time and consequently increased customer satisfaction and&#xD;
productivity. This study demonstrates that the application of quality methodologies promotes&#xD;
more efficient, sustainable and integral processes, favoring the company's growth and&#xD;
excellence.
