Such an approach is necessary because it is a subject that has become global, and that has impacted different professions and their way of doing things. The objective of this work is to show the main changes during this pandemic period. This intent will be achieved by comparing television news before and during the pandemic. In addition, a survey was carried out with the professionals of the EPTV station, bringing their main perspectives of changes, during that period, when everything was new for the whole world. The analysis demonstrated that many of the changes were necessary, and the COVID-19 subject became the main subject in regional newscasts. Some changes with technological advances were used in this period and still remained after the pandemic. These resources made life easier for journalism professionals. Much of the programming on some frequencies revolves around sports programming, especially football, which, when combined with radio, becomes a mixture of large audiences, whether in the capitals or in the countryside, as is the case in South of Minas Gerais, who breathes the sport linked to radio. The objective of the work is to present a product in documentary video format, which deals with these two passions, showing how the medium makes the feeling of emotion to be brought to the attention of listeners, in addition to paying homage to the professionals of this almost centenary medium in Brazilian land. For this, the documentary RADIO AND FUTEBOL: the tune that thrills the South of Minas sought to interview sports narrators from the southern region of Minas Gerais, in which, in an explanatory research, they were able to count, with their own reports, why countless people still tune in to the stations of radio to follow a football match. The documentary also showed that, despite the advent of the internet, radio can persist and survive amid technology.
