Due to the growing number of followers of this practice, this study is necessary to understand how these expressions have given new meaning to their way of communicating over time and created subcultures. The proposed objective of this research is to discover how the practice of body modification by an individual or social group can be used as a way of communicating, and what impact or noise these messages interfere with the social interaction of these people. For this study, bibliographical research will be used, searching for sources of information available in books, articles, theses and dissertations. In this way, it provides a basis and argumentative construction for the topic. The study proved that our body, throughout history, has been used as a form of language, where all culture is built from it, through attributes, gestures, evaluations and clothing. And body change is a way of communicating with society, saying whether or not you are part of a certain group. The objective of the research is to reflect on the journalist's linguistic choices in interview situations and dialogue with the community. To this end, four episodes of the aforementioned situation were analyzed, in relation to the use of the standard norm of the Portuguese language, the use of regionalisms and colloquiality. This work was prepared through an approach based on a descriptive analysis, in which, upon observing the episodes selected for the study, it was found that the journalist used words that gave greater proximity to the interviewee or due to difficulty, as a result of of the discrepancy between the language practiced in Brazil and the standard established in good usage manuals. It is important to highlight, however, that elaborate language was not used, remaining accessible to the population. This approach is due to the fact that the documentary attempts to give a voice to those neglected by society, and the works reveal a not very visible area of Brazil. This endeavor will be achieved through analytical research that will be conducted with a deep dive into the two documentaries, in which their social role will be examined. Initially, the presented documentaries will be analyzed in a general context, providing an overview of their production, what they represent, and the nature of the documentaries. Following this, excerpts will be used to illustrate the reality experienced by those who engage in this sport. Based on these excerpts, an analysis will be developed to provide context and interpretation. The analysis revealed significant results regarding the social importance it portrays. The purpose of this work is to ensure that this culture is not forgotten or lost, as it has happened to other people, of very important influence for our community. The production showed that São Bento Abade and artists who live in the city have enormous artistic potential. The city that is recognized for the famous Saga of the Seven Ears, presents us once again, that we cannot only divulge the history, but what is still firm and built over the years. Over time, there has been no specific work on culture, on this artistic movement, works such as documentaries have been made on the saga of the seven ears, which is also a very important story for the city since it bears the name of the city, for many other places.
