Abstract

This paper aims to present the main concepts about technology that promises to revolutionize the group of energies that are currently used in the world, mainly the electricity sector. This technology is the fuel cell, whose study will give a basic overview of its functioning, the main types of cells (PEMFC, DMFC, SOFC, MCFC, PAFC, AFC, DEFC), applications and features. However not one can talk about fuel cell without mentioning the element that will be the basis all this revolution, hydrogen, which will address the main features, properties and forms of production.
