MULHERES NO JORNALISMO ESPORTIVO: luta por espaço e equidade de gênero

Abstract

Despite having played little role in society, a woman still performs secondary roles in the sports media. The existing sexist discourse in today's established society that male-dominated professions should not be offered to women. No sports journalism like acting women suffers from gender bias, professional disapproval and harassment. The inequality in this environment is clearly noticeable because of the number of women equipped with men working in the sports press, the number is markedly much smaller. In addition, female competence is questioned daily by the public who judges biological sex and defines the understanding of a theme. The article in question shows what is specific about football and even more common for women to be harassed during the exercise of their function, as this sport is often the scene of symbolic violence such as harassment and verbal aggression. It is also important to highlight as a woman who does not occupy a prominent role in sports media, as it is still important for women to narrate and comment on games. The present article uses an exploratory research to bring the most diverse aspects about the theme approached. Thus, it is possible to conclude the same with greater participation of women in sports television news and with the gender equality that is being achieved, because the space that women occupy in open and closed TV channels is still limited when it comes to coverage and of sports debates.
