SEXUALIDADE NA INFÂNCIA A PARTIR DA LEGISLAÇÃO: o papel da escola na orientação sexual

Abstract

This article is justified because the school is an institution that should be concerned with the integral formation of students. From this perspective, children begin to express their curiosity about sexuality at school, through their affective relationships, according to the context in which they are inserted. Therefore, the objective of this research is to discuss the importance of the school working on sexual orientation in Elementary School I, based on what the legislation proposes. This purpose was achieved through bibliographic research especially in legislation, books and scientific articles. The data indicate that the official documents propose that sexual orientation be addressed as a cross-cutting theme, especially in a multidisciplinary way, since the theme involves several dimensions of the person and is also influenced by the historical context. The professor is a fundamental person in this process of exploration and discoveries, it is up to him to discuss, guide and clarify all the questions proposed by the students, thus, he must present prior knowledge on the subject, considering the difficulty of approaching the subject.
