Abstract

The following work trie topresent in a reflexiveway, the importance of Emotional Intelligence in the school context, considering that, the school acquires more and more responsibility in the formation of students. As school are the place where more interpersonal relationships are established, emotional education become a fundamental point. Thus, as a result of this bibliographical study focusedon the theories of Daniel Goleman, it was possible to recognize the relevanceog this competence that assistssince the in creased academic performance, reducing the number of violence and eventhe ability to establish relationships.
